Link to original league that was deleted: games.espn.go.com/flb/leagueoffice?leagueId=153169&seasonId=2014
League history - This league started in 2009. The original 12 members were in a 16 team league, where the league manager reset the draft five weeks into the season, leaving us without rosters. We tried to restart the league with the full 16 teams, but only 12 players wanted to continue. We played out the season under the current rules and expanded to 16 teams the following season. Jason Salinas and Craig Nudges were the original league managers. In 2012, I became a league manager to keep the league running on a daily basis. For an unknown reason, the league was deleted from ESPN by one of the other league managers with no notice for any of us. That's how we got here today.
2016 Draft Order (see 2016 draft thread for explanations or if anyone has questions).
1. Boston Red Sox
2. Toronto Blue Jays
3. Los Angeles Angels
4. Washington Nationals formerly San Francisco Giants
5. Minnesota Twins formerly Seattle Mariners
6. Houston Astros formerly Tampa Bay Rays
7. Atlanta Braves
8. Miami Marlins
9. Pittsburgh Pirates
10. New York Mets formerly New York Yankees
11. Philadelphia Phillies
12. St. Louis Cardinals
13. Kansas City Royals
14. Chicago Cubs
15. Brooklyn Dodgers
16. Texas Rangers
Draft pick trades from 2015:
Minnesota sends 1st round pick to Chicago Cubs as part of the Kyle Schwarber trade.
Minnesota sends 2nd round pick to Atlanta as part of the Logan Forsythe trade.
ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE A COMPLETE ROSTER AT ALL TIMES.
Hello guys. Welcome to the reboot of the now defunct MLB2KXX league. This is the 8th season of the Mlb2k league and 1st season of the restart, after it was inexplicably deleted by one of the other league managers.
Only players in the ESPN universe are eligible to be rostered/drafted/claimed/etc. 2015 MLB draft picks are not eligible to be on rosters until they are entered into the ESPN universe.
Players from the following teams are available to be drafted/added/claimed/etc without consequence regardless of major or minor league status:
1. Oakland A's
2. Seattle Mariners replaces Minnesota Twins
3. San Diego Padres
4. Arizona Diamondbacks
5. Cleveland Indians
6. Colorado Rockies
7. Milwaukee Brewers
8. Tampa Bay Rays replaces Houston Astros
9. New York Yankees replaces New York Mets
10. Baltimore Orioles
11. Chicago White Sox
12. Cincinnati Reds
13. Detroit Tigers
14. San Francisco Giants replaces Washington Nationals
We will have an off-line draft. Regardless of the number of keepers each team keeps, each team will have a 1st round pick, unless a team opts to keep the maximum number of keepers. Additional picks will be applied at the end of the draft.
Draft order will be determined by the order of the consolation bracket. The winner of the consolation bracket gets the first pick, runner up gets the second, etc. For the winner's bracket, the winner of each final round matchup (with the exception of the championship) will have the higher pick. For example in the 3rd and 4th place game, the winner gets pick 13 and the loser gets pick 14.
----------------------
1. Pick an MLB team and 8 players from that team (Performed in 2009, when the league was 12 teams and expanded to 16 teams in 2010). League transitioned from a keeper league to a dynasty league in 2011.
2. We will draft the players left for rosters spots from the FA pool. This means that you could pick up players from other teams.
3. All minor league players under your team name belong to you, and are delegated as being protected. This means, as long as the player retains rookie status under the MLB2kpart2 rules, he does not have to be placed on your roster to be protected as your player.
3.1 If a minor league player is called up three (3) times by his real life major league team and he is not on your 40 man roster, he automatically becomes a free agent, where any team can claim him.
3.2 If you pick up another organizations protected minor league player, your best player will be suspended the entire week from the date in which the player was added.
3.3 A minor league player is any player that has less then 130 at bats for hitters or less than 50 innings pitched for pitchers in the major league. The at bat or innings pitched limit becomes void when the player reaches his third real life call up to the major league roster. Simply being on the real life major league 40 man roster does not exempt any of the aforementioned requirements.
3.4. This year we will have a 40 man roster also and it will look like this:

4. Stay active. I just ask for each team owner to check the rosters, lineups, etc. from day to day. If you want to talk on the chat box ,do so. It does not affect your activity. Just stay up to date with your team and is all cool (you don't need to create a chat roll account, if you have Facebook).
4.1 Please have all 40 roster spots filled at all times. If you have an open spot roster spot for more than one week, you will have your waiver spot dropped to 16th.
5. Let's just have lots of fun since this is fantasy baseball.
6. If you got any questions ask the league managers, currently just Cardinals. Two more will be designated before the season starts.
7. Please vote on all polls.
8. We are keeping anywhere from 35/40 players from now on. If you keep 36 players then you will have 4 picks and so on.
9. If a protected rookie/minor league player gets traded in real life, the following will apply.
9.1 If said player is on an MLB2kpart2 roster, he will remain the property of that team, regardless of whether he is traded to another protected organization.
9.2 If an unrostered protected rookie/minor league player is traded to a protected organization, he becomes property of the protected organization.
9.3 If an unrostered protected rookie/minor league player is traded to an unprotected organization, he becomes available for any organization to claim.
9.4 If an unrostered unprotected rookie/minor league player is traded to a protected organization, he becomes the property of the protected organization.
10. Once the league restarts, organization changes will only be allowed between the ESPN restart and the draft. The free agent pool will be locked at that point, preventing prospect hoarding. If you change organizations, you are locked into that organization for two years to prevent prospect hoarding.
11. Scoring categories are as follows:
Hitters - AB, R, HR, XBH, RBI, SB, K, BB, AVG, SLG.
Pitchers - IP, BB, K, QS, W, SV, HD, ERA, WHIP, K/BB.
12. Divisions:

NL WEST - Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals
